Autism Ontario is a third-party agency responsible for directly administering the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) Provider List on an interim basis, with funding from the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. Autism Ontario is independent from the ministry and the OAP and is not involved in the delivery of behavioural services.
On April 1, 2021, the OAP Provider List will be transitioned to a permanent Administrator.
To support decision-making, Autism Ontario regularly seeks input from an Advisory Panel of three behavioural clinicians. The Panel provides advice to help inform the ongoing design and implementation of OAP Provider List policies and processes. The Panel will also provide confidential advice on the approval, renewal, suspension and removal of specific members on a case-by-case basis, at Autism Ontario’s request.
