Through the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) Provider List approval process, Autism Ontario reviews supporting documentation and third-party registry information, and it also conducts reference checks with the applicant’s employers and/or supervisors.

The OAP Provider List can be a useful resource for families planning to purchase behavioural services. However, neither Autism Ontario nor the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services endorses or vouches for any provider on the List, nor do they guarantee or warrant that any provider on the List has the requisite skills, experience, and credentials required by potential clients. It remains the responsibility of families to assess the competency and qualifications of the providers they hire.
